What you will do

• Design scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data architectures using GCP-native services like BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer.
• Build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for analytics and reporting.
• Optimize data pipelines, queries, and storage layers to improve scalability and cost performance.
• Implement proactive monitoring and alerting for the data ecosystem.
• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers through code reviews, design validations, and architecture discussions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience with GCP data engineering services (BigQuery, DataFlow, Cloud Run, etc.).
• Strong expertise in SQL and Python or PySpark for data transformations.
• Proven experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development and data modelling.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for data pipelines using Cloud Build, Git, or Jenkins.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time streaming frameworks such as Pub/Sub, Kafka, or Spark Streaming.
• Knowledge of data lakehouse architectures (Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, or Hudi).
• Understanding of GCP data security, IAM roles, and DLP policies.
• Familiarity with modern orchestration tools like Airflow, dbt, or Dagster.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
