What you will do

• Build and maintain the data platform utilizing BigQuery, Airflow, and DBT.
• Develop MCP servers to safely expose data marts and internal tooling to AI agents like Claude.
• Automate data pipelines using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible.
• Consult on best practices for data ingestion, data mart design, and data product design.
• Collaborate with content teams to support the creation of data engineering courses.
• Optimize agent workflows by writing AGENTS.md specifications and using AI coding tools.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with data warehousing (BigQuery or Snowflake) and orchestrators like Airflow.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) in daily workflows.
• Must be located in Portugal.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt, Docker, CI/CD, or Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Prior experience building or contributing to MCP servers.
• Passion for data science, education, and applying AI to engineering problems.
