What you will do

• Build and operate backend and platform services for Glassdoor’s customer-facing products.
• Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.
• Manage cloud-native infrastructure to support high-throughput, data-intensive features.
• Integrate services with data platforms and AI/LLM-enabled workflows.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and seamless integration with broader company ecosystems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with production-grade systems.
• Expert proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Gradle, and microservices architecture.
• Strong RESTful API design skills and understanding of API lifecycle best practices.
• Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience in distributed systems, fault-tolerant service design, and performance tuning.
• Must be eligible for 100% Mexican Payroll.

Nice to have

• Experience with asynchronous messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ) or event-driven design.
• Familiarity with GraphQL, API gateways, or hybrid API ecosystems.
• Exposure to LLM/AI APIs from providers like OpenAI or Anthropic.
• Prior remote contracting or cross-functional leadership experience.
