Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Must be based in the Czech Republic. Remote work is only possible if the employee is located in the Czech Republic. Candidate must be eligible to work in CZ.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications using Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
• Contribute to the system architecture design, defining components, interactions, and interfaces.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to coding standards and conducting unit testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, product managers, and QA engineers.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Requirements

• 6-9 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• Strong expertise in Java SE 8+, including collections, concurrency, multithreading, and JVM internals.
• Solid experience with Spring (Boot, MVC, Security) and Hibernate/JPA.
• Proficiency in relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is required.
• English: Proficient level required.
• Must be eligible to work in the Czech Republic.

Nice to have

• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies including Angular, React, and Node.
• Experience with microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
