Senior Java Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Java Engineer (Backend): Back-end development for cloud-based platforms and microservice architecture to meet customer business needs. Focus on designing application architecture, implementing tests, and ensuring high coding standards in high-load systems.

Location: UA-Remote (full-time in Ukraine). Work remotely or from an office, your choice.

What you will do

• Develop back-end components using modern practices like cloud platforms and microservices.
• Participate in architecture design, code reviews, and feature specifications.
• Design and implement unit, integration, and functional tests.
• Drive process improvements and proactive solution development.
• Collaborate in an international Agile team with PMs, engineers, architects, QA, and stakeholders.
• Deliver product roadmap and maintain high coding standards throughout SDLC.

Requirements

• Over 5 years in software development, including 3+ years in Java.
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals: OOP, SOLID, DDD, TDD, BDD, databases (RDBMS, NoSQL), algorithms, data structures, patterns, security (OWASP).
• Network knowledge: protocols, REST/RPC, OAuth, JWT.
• Experience with high-performance/high-load systems, REST APIs, Spring Boot, testing frameworks (JUnit, PowerMock, WireMock).
• Must join full-time in Ukraine.

Nice to have

• Ops experience with Linux, command line, Kubernetes.
• AI-assisted testing and debugging tools.
