Salary: $350,000 - $475,000 USD

What you will do

• Design and implement the authorization layer, including RBAC, API key scoping, and organization hierarchies.
• Own end-to-end billing infrastructure, covering usage metering, payment processing, and invoicing.
• Build organization and team models with support for SSO/SAML and workspace isolation.
• Develop data export and deletion pipelines to meet enterprise compliance and data residency needs.
• Implement comprehensive audit logging for customer and internal visibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Python or Rust.
• Experience with billing/payments infrastructure, identity/access control, or multi-tenant platform systems.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to San Francisco or New York.
• Strong collaborative skills and a bias for action.

Nice to have

• 4+ years of experience building production backend systems.
• Experience with Metronome pipelines or usage-based pricing at scale.
• Familiarity with SSO/SCIM provisioning and enterprise-readiness patterns.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures or stream processing for usage metering.
• Background in security engineering or experience at an AI/ML or API-first company.
