What you will do

• Lead the development of test and analysis methods for Rolling Resistance, Traction, Force & Moment, and Impact Resistance.
• Optimize treadwear and endurance test methods to reduce lead times and development costs.
• Implement new test and analysis methods across the global tire supply base.
• Perform technical assessments of supplier labs and determine vehicle load inputs for virtual analysis.
• Serve as the company representative for ASTM and SAE Tire Technical Committees.
• Lead complex technical problem-solving investigations and analyze results to assess production readiness.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee or refugee).
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or a related degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Tire Engineering or a relevant field.
• Proficiency in VBA, MATLAB, and C#.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Applied knowledge of engineering mechanics, physics, metallurgy, and manufacturing methods related to tires/wheels.

Nice to have

• Master of Science (MS) in Engineering.
• Previous experience working at a tire supplier or tire test lab.
• DFSS Black Belt Certification.
