What you will do

• Develop alternative groundwater management strategies and define quality metrics for exploration projects.
• Design and implement hydrogeologic field studies and data collection programs.
• Build and run numerical simulations of groundwater flow and develop post-processing algorithms.
• Quantify uncertainties relevant to mining to improve dynamic mine-planning technology.
• Collaborate with data scientists to develop novel tools and physics-based models for hydrogeologic insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or post-graduate degree in hydrogeology, geology, computational geoscience, or environmental engineering.
• 6-10 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in mining hydrogeology.
• Deep expertise in computational modeling of porous media flows and coupled groundwater/surface-water systems.
• Proficiency with modeling software such as MODFLOW or FEFLOW.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with non-technical domain experts.
• Legal authorization to work in the US, Canada, South Africa, UK, or Zambia is strongly preferred.
