Field Service Tech (Engineering)

TL;DR

Field Service Tech (Engineering): Providing mechanical, electrical, and technical support for green sand molding equipment with an accent on installation, commissioning, and repair. Focus on diagnosing complex system malfunctions, integrating new equipment, and conducting on-site customer training.

Location: Remote-based; must be located within 1 hour of a major airport, preferably in the eastern half of the US

Pay: $39–$43/hr plus OT

What you will do

• Install, configure, and integrate new molding equipment at customer sites.
• Perform regular maintenance and diagnostic checks to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
• Provide technical training and guidance to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Document all service activities and prepare detailed inspection reports.
• Supervise projects and contractors on-site as required.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of related professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of GD&T terminology.
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook).
