What you will do

• Review genetic test orders for completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness to prevent redundant testing.
• Manage test holds, notify clients of issues, and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with providers.
• Facilitate test setup by linking samples and configuring systems per protocols.
• Document order details and updates accurately for downstream processing.
• Process referrals and coordinate patient scheduling for genetic counseling.
• Support patient counseling team with follow-up tasks and inquiries via phone/email.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (Biology, Medical Technology, Healthcare, or related field preferred)
• Strong verbal/written communication and high proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
• Professional proficiency in mathematical reasoning, computer literacy, and communication.
• Ability to work independently/collaboratively; meet productivity standards.
• Flexible for alternate shifts in Eastern Time (Wed-Sun 8am-4:30pm ET or Tue-Sat 1:30pm-10pm ET)
• Foundational knowledge of genetic counseling assistance preferred.
