Interim Funding Consultant

TL;DR

Interim Funding Consultant: Coordinating intake, submission, and follow-up of new product, repair, and rental orders for assistive devices with an accent on working with SLPs, insurance providers, government agencies, and educational institutions. Focus on reviewing documents against payer criteria, resolving denials, and tracking authorizations to completion.

Location: Remote from US (must live in Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zones; ability to travel to Pittsburgh office approx. 4 times per year)

What you will do

• Maintain communication with SLPs on funding cases and instruct on document preparation and policies.
• Work with insurance providers, government agencies, and educational institutions to place orders.
• Track funding authorization cases to timely resolution.
• Review prior authorization documents against third-party payer criteria and research order history.
• Enter and complete orders in the management system.
• Serve as client advocate, communicate funding requests and co-payments, resolve denials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 2-4 years related experience; background in health insurance preferred
• Oral and written communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and customer service skills
• Internet navigation, MS Office Word and Outlook
• Able to multitask in fast-paced environment; work at desk for prolonged periods with interruptions
