What you will do

• Define and own the technical architecture for trading products, client-facing portals, and internal applications.
• Lead and mentor a full-stack engineering team, setting standards for code quality and engineering best practices.
• Drive technical strategy and roadmaps, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Architect systems handling high data volumes, real-time streaming, and low-latency interactions.
• Oversee the frontend experience across the customer lifecycle, from onboarding to real-time trading dashboards.
• Establish and evolve engineering processes, including sprint planning, incident response, and deployment pipelines.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
• Proven track record of making architecture decisions for complex, data-intensive applications.
• Deep experience building real-time, high-data-volume systems like trading dashboards or order management systems.
• Strong command of the modern frontend stack: TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Hands-on server-side experience with Node.js, Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to London, UK.

Nice to have

• Experience at a trading firm, fintech, or high-frequency trading environment.
• Familiarity with algorithmic trading concepts and financial market infrastructure.
• Expertise in performance optimization at scale, including profiling and caching strategies.
• Experience with performance-critical backend technologies like Rust.
