Solutions Engineer (SaaS)

What you will do

• Act as the primary technical liaison between end users and internal teams during site visits and training sessions.
• Conduct structured feedback sessions and empathy interviews to identify pain points and opportunities for adoption.
• Gather and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to inform solution design and prioritization.
• Apply User-Centered Design (UCD) methodologies, including journey mapping and usability analysis.
• Create rapid prototypes and interactive wireframes using AI and tools like Figma to validate design assumptions.
• Develop executive-level briefings, technical documentation, and workflow diagrams for diverse stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, HCI, Design, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience in solutions engineering, product management, UX research, or technical consulting within SaaS or federal health IT.
• Proficiency with UCD principles and prototyping tools such as Figma, Balsamiq, or Axure.
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, and API specifications.
• Ability to travel periodically for customer site visits.
• Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs or federal health systems is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Prior software development experience.
• Familiarity with federal healthcare IT standards such as FHIR, HL7, or VistA.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence for product and project management.
