TL;DR

Member Experience, Data Privacy Specialist (Privacy): Managing data subject requests and protecting member data within the support ecosystem with an accent on GDPR/CCPA compliance and incident management. Focus on optimizing privacy workflows, resolving complex identity cases, and partnering with Security teams to reduce regulatory risk.

Location: Remote (United States), excluding AK, DE, IA, MS, NE, SD, WV, and WI

Salary: $68,000 - $95,000

What you will do

  • Handle GDPR/CCPA data subject requests, account deletions, and complex identity or login issues.
  • Manage and triage the Data Privacy queue to maintain SLA targets and minimize misrouted tickets.
  • Analyze trends using reports and dashboards to improve routing, macros, and training content.
  • Coordinate the escalation process for privacy incidents in partnership with Privacy and Security teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to implement the MX Data Privacy roadmap and tooling improvements.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in customer support, operations, or trust & safety.
  • 2+ years of direct experience with privacy/security regulated workflows (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Proficiency with Zendesk and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Ability to create and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and playbooks.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using dashboards like Tableau.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience in health/fitness apps or other high-sensitivity data domains.
  • Familiarity with OneTrust or similar DSR management systems.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA/MDR considerations and incident response processes.
  • Experience managing BPO partners for privacy-adjacent queues.
