What you will do

• Establish the Data Science function within Operations, defining methodologies, frameworks, and standards for AI projects.
• Develop and deploy statistical models, ML algorithms, and optimization solutions to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
• Partner with Industrial Operations teams to identify and frame business problems solvable via advanced analytics.
• Explore and apply Generative AI to improve documentation, SOP training, and automation of knowledge.
• Collaborate with IT and Data Governance teams to ensure access to reliable and compliant data sources.
• Monitor and measure the impact of AI initiatives using KPIs such as ROI, productivity, and OEE improvement.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience applying ML, statistical analysis, and data modeling in business or industrial environments.
• Proficiency in Python or R, and knowledge of SQL.
• Hands-on experience with data science tools: Pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Experience with cloud environments (Azure, GCP, AWS) and version control using Git.
• Proven experience using AI/ML tools specifically within industrial manufacturing and supply chain contexts.

Nice to have

• Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or manufacturing environments (supply chain, production, or quality).
• Knowledge of data governance, master data management, and GxP regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience with MLOps practices and cloud computing tools such as Databricks.
