Senior AI Machine Learning Engineer (AI) (Python/Azure/MLOps): Developing and deploying scalable AI/ML solutions for real-world R&D challenges with an accent on production-grade software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and model reliability. Focus on building CI/CD and MLOps workflows, containerizing workloads, implementing observability, and moving models from research into stable production environments.
Location: Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain; Workplace: On-site

What you will do
- Design and develop scalable, maintainable AI solutions using modern engineering practices.
- Write production-quality code for data, modeling, and deployment pipelines.
- Implement and maintain MLOps workflows covering CI/CD, containerization, and model observability.
- Build reliable AI systems for sparse or high-dimensional R&D data and integrate models into production software architectures.
- Work within Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks and translate business challenges into technical requirements.
- Communicate technical trade-offs and project updates to engineering and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Senior-level Python proficiency and strong software engineering practices, including design patterns, unit testing, and modular code.
- Strong knowledge of AI/ML algorithms, mathematical foundations, modern AI/ML architectures, data platforms, and data pipelines.
- Hands-on Azure experience with the Azure ML SDK/CLI or Azure Databricks, including online endpoints, compute clusters, and data assets.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitLab automation, plus Docker-based containerization.
- Ability to monitor system health, model performance, drift, accuracy, and data quality, and to take ML models from research to production.
- Full professional proficiency in English is required. Experience with Agile/Scrum and clear communication with non-technical stakeholders are also required.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience with formulation, chemistry, or the Fragrance & Flavour industry.
- French proficiency is strongly preferred.
