What you will do

• Develop the team through coaching, mentorship, goal setting, and performance feedback while making hiring decisions.
• Balance hands-on technical leadership with direct implementation of security controls and tooling.
• Own execution, prioritization, and scaling of projects and operations using agile practices and process improvements.
• Champion continuous improvement, communicate risks to stakeholders, and collaborate on business-aligned roadmaps.
• Mature capabilities in endpoint, SaaS, cloud configuration, IAM, and data security while enhancing automation and integrations.
• Support incident response, vulnerability management, and AI adoption while defining metrics for impact measurement.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive engineering and security experience; 3+ years managing people and security engineering teams
• Expertise with AWS, GCP, Azure; hands-on with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code
• Strong experience designing, implementing, and operating security controls at scale for endpoint, SaaS, and cloud environments
• Experience in identity and access management, data security programs, and software development (Python, Go, etc.)
• Ability to support occasional off-hours incident response; located in eastern time zone
• Strong communication, systems thinking, and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
