What you will do

• Support ownership of optical bonding and contacting processes, focusing on safety, quality, yield, and stability.
• Develop and maintain process control strategies, acceptance criteria, and monitoring methods.
• Track and analyze process metrics to drive technical decisions and continuous improvement.
• Investigate and resolve process issues, deviations, and escalations.
• Contribute to initiatives reducing variation, improving capability, and increasing first-pass yield.
• Partner with teams to support production, new product introduction, and process documentation.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to access US controlled technology prior to starting work
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Optical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field
• 2+ years of related experience
• Strong data analysis, technical problem-solving, and structured methods (e.g., DMAIC, A3)
• Experience in controlled manufacturing or lab environments with hardware handling
• Comfortable in cleanroom settings with physical demands like lifting up to 20 pounds
• Clear communication across engineering, operations, and management levels

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and precision components
• Exposure to semiconductor, optics, or advanced manufacturing
• Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, DOE, and scripting (C# a plus)
