What you will do

• Design, build, and operate backend services using Java and Kotlin.
• Develop scalable, production-grade microservices and APIs for internal and external use.
• Work across transactional, analytical, and document databases to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Contribute to systems processing high-volume data pipelines from DSPs like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
• Collaborate on evolving the platform towards stronger data capabilities and improving observability.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Java and/or Kotlin with solid understanding of Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Proven experience designing and building microservices.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
• Strong SQL skills and fundamental knowledge of data modelling.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Redis Streams or Google Pub/Sub.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Exposure to data engineering or data platforms.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience in database performance tuning and optimization.
• Interest in building and scaling data pipelines.
