Working Student - Mechanical Design (UAVs): Design and development of mechanical components and fixtures for battery and charger products with an accent on rapid prototyping, thermal calculations, and manufacturing readiness. Focus on creating drawings, supporting procurement, and validating concepts through 3D printing.

Location: Onsite in Munich, Bayern, Germany. Must be able to work from offices in Munich, Germany.

What you will do

• Design and develop mechanical components and fixtures
• Perform basic mechanical and thermal sizing calculations
• Execute rapid prototyping with 3D printing to validate concepts
• Create manufacturing-ready drawings for procurement
• Prepare development documentation, BoMs, and assembly instructions
• Support tools and test fixtures for validation
• Coordinate prototype parts procurement

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Initial experience in mechanical design (projects, internships, Formula Student)
• Experience with CAD software like Catia V5 mandatory
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, machining, casting, stamping)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent English communication skills
• Ability to work from offices in Munich, Germany
