Salary: $137,000 – $177,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead technical accounting research and prepare memoranda for complex transactions, focusing on ASC 606 and software capitalization.
• Review customer, vendor, and other commercial agreements to ensure appropriate and timely revenue recognition under U.S. GAAP.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes by resolving technical accounting issues.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to support compliant financial reporting.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors on technical accounting matters.
• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Product teams to support transaction structuring and accounting outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting.
• Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, specifically ASC 606 and SaaS accounting.
• Proven ability to research accounting guidance and prepare high-quality technical memoranda.
• Must be willing to come into the Mellville, NY office 5 days a week.

Nice to have

• Big 4 public accounting experience at the Manager level or higher.
• Experience with NetSuite ERP systems.
• MBA degree.
• Exposure to business combinations, leases, impairments, and equity-based compensation.
