What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Maintain the general ledger in accordance with US GAAP and prepare supporting schedules for financial audits.
• Research complex accounting issues (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842) and prepare technical memos.
• Implement and maintain accounting policies and internal controls aligned with SOC compliance standards.
• Partner with FP&A, Legal, Sales, and Operations to ensure accurate financial treatment of contracts and business initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and support ERP enhancements and automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or the SaaS/technology industry.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and experience with month‑end close and audit support.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Melville, NY office 5 days a week.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or progress toward achieving it.
• Experience in fintech, SaaS, or PE‑backed high‑growth environments.
• Specific experience with ASC 606 (revenue) or ASC 842 (lease) accounting.
• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems and automation tools.
