What you will do

• Architect and implement microservices and micro-frontends using Spring Cloud and Node.js.
• Manage and optimize applications within Kubernetes clusters using Istio, Helm, and Terraform.
• Design event-driven systems utilizing Kafka, RabbitMQ, and reactive programming frameworks like Spring WebFlux.
• Integrate enterprise applications with low-code platforms such as OutSystems, Azure Functions, and PowerApps.
• Implement modern architectural patterns including Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Hexagonal Architecture, and CQRS.
• Mentor developers across teams, leading design reviews and championing emerging technologies.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 6 years in cloud-native and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in Azure, Java (Spring Cloud), and Node.js.
• Expertise in Kubernetes, container orchestration, and service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio).
• Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be based in Northbrook, IL.

Nice to have

• CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) or IASA Software Architect certifications.
• Experience with frontend technologies for micro-frontends (React, Angular, Vue.js).
