Data Engineer (Python)

TL;DR

Location: Remote/Hybrid (San Antonio, TX), must be based in the US and eligible for Public Trust clearance

Salary: $61,900 – $141,000

What you will do

• Develop and deploy data pipelines and platforms to make disparate data meaningful.
• Build and maintain scalable data stores for big data analysis.
• Create software for retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data.
• Develop scalable ETL or ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of analysts and developers in an agile environment.
• Create scripts to convert data into usable formats and support platform scaling.

Requirements

• Public Trust clearance is required.
• 2+ years of experience with Python, Java, or C++.
• 2+ years of experience with scalable big data stores.
• Experience in developing ETL/ELT workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Must be eligible to undergo a U.S. government investigation.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in SQL or Scala.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, or Kafka.
• Knowledge of NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) or Data Warehousing (Redshift, Snowflake).
• UNIX/Linux shell scripting skills.
