What you will do

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data products from concept through delivery and continuous improvement.
• Implement product-oriented workflows including backlogs, prioritization, and feedback loops.
• Support a data mesh approach by enabling domain teams to own and manage their data products.
• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers to deliver scalable platform capabilities.
• Guide data modeling, semantic layers, and the implementation of modern data practices.
• Partner cross-functionally to drive the adoption of AI-assisted development.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience in data engineering, data products, or software engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience leading teams and delivering strategic initiatives.
• Proven experience treating data as a product with a strong product mindset.
• Must be based in the US.
• Experience in data mesh or domain-based environments.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience scaling product-oriented data teams.
• Familiarity with the Databricks ecosystem tools.
• Experience with AI-assisted development.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders on data products.
