Location: Must be based in the US (San Jose, Chicago, Seattle, or Austin). Flexible work model.

Salary: $249,000 – $348,500 (San Jose range)

What you will do

• Define and evolve the end-to-end strategy, metrics framework, and data model for Developer Productivity & Insights.
• Design and maintain robust data pipelines and dashboards integrating SDLC signals from Git, CI/CD, and Jira.
• Lead deep analytical investigations into developer flow and quality to provide concrete recommendations to the CTO office.
• Experiment with tooling, workflows, and guardrails to demonstrably improve engineering outcomes.
• Act as the technical owner for engineering-wide insights tooling and set standards for data quality and observability.
• Mentor technical leaders on using data to run better teams and avoiding the use of vanity metrics.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience delivering large-scale distributed systems or platforms.
• Proven expertise in system design (LLD), API design, and data modeling.
• Experience leading developer relations or technical evangelism at scale in enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with AI-driven systems and the ability to integrate AI/ML components into existing services.
• Valid US work authorization (E-Verify participant).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience measuring productivity using DORA or SPACE frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL and modern data platform tooling such as Spark or Databricks.
• Practical experience with AI developer tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor.
• Track record of translating complex technical data into clear narratives for executive-level leadership.
