QA Specialist (Gamedev)

What you will do

• Execute test plans to ensure titles are free of functional, grammatical, and graphical defects prior to submission.
• Conduct English Localization testing across a wide variety of game titles.
• Perform first-party compliance testing for Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft platforms.
• Carry out internal QA reviews for PC platforms including Steam, EGS, and Origin following hirify.global’s Best Practices.
• Perform regression testing on assigned defects to verify successful resolution.
• Participate in project meetings and provide regular status updates and end-of-pass reports.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Quality Assurance experience.
• Must be based in Irvine, CA for in-office collaboration and supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to switch between multiple projects and testing assignments.
• Understanding of PC hardware and current-generation consoles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice to have

• Experience testing pre-release or live games.
• Exposure to localization testing or text editing.
• Experience capturing gameplay footage or assets.
• Familiarity with compliance or first-party QA testing.
• Familiarity with Atlassian products.
