Technical Operations Engineer (Engineering)

Technical Operations Engineer (Engineering): Supporting manufacturing readiness, quality execution, and operational excellence for energy storage solutions with an accent on NPI ramp and APQP methodology. Location: Hybrid (2-3 days in Office) in Houston, TX. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

What you will do

• Develop quality control plans and maintain product specifications for manufacturing operations.
• Execute NPI production ramp-up and approval processes using APQP methodology.
• Perform technical evaluations and prepare reports for NPI test runs, supplier audits, and root cause investigations.
• Support PFMEA reviews for new products and integrate lessons learned into quality control plans.
• Partner with contract manufacturing partners to identify cost-down opportunities and implement improvements.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for manufacturing assembly processes.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in quality manufacturing or technical operations.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and experience supporting certification management.
• Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and Six Sigma philosophy.
• Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement, Lean manufacturing, and 5S concepts.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience working with global contract manufacturing partners.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP/Quality Management Systems.
• Experience in automated manufacturing environments.
