What you will do

• Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings from engineering concepts and sketches using SolidWorks.
• Ensure all designs comply with ASME Y14.00-series drawing standards and internal best practices.
• Manage CAD data within SolidWorks PDM and support PLM activities including BOM updates and document release.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to verify design intent and resolve modeling issues.
• Apply GD&T to ensure manufacturing accuracy and participate in technical drawing reviews.
• Utilize ERP systems such as Epicor to manage BOMs and other documentation functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience in mechanical CAD design or drafting roles.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and ASME Y14.00-series drawing standards.
• U.S. nationality and eligibility for security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Creo or Visio.
• Familiarity with Epicor or similar ERP systems.
• Exposure to FEA tools or simulation workflows.
• Experience with 3D printing processes and related software.
