Salary: $145,000 – $170,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance REST APIs and web services that scale to handle large traffic.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product owners to ensure seamless integration into the application architecture.
• Implement security best practices to safeguard sensitive data.
• Optimize database queries and I/O operations to achieve optimal backend performance.
• Participate in code reviews and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, system failures, and bugs.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software design and application development experience.
• 3+ years of backend web application development experience.
• Strong experience developing high-performance and scalable web services using Go.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and graph databases (Neo4j).
• Must be authorized to work and reside in the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a criminal background investigation.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Python for scripting and application development.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies like React and TypeScript.
• Experience in penetration testing or administering Active Directory or Azure.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
