What you will do

• Develop and maintain scalable bioinformatics pipelines for NGS data (WGS, WES, RNA-seq, single-cell).
• Design and implement novel algorithms for secondary and tertiary NGS analysis tailored to the platform's chemistry.
• Perform benchmarking, validation studies, and analyze large-scale genomic datasets.
• Collaborate with wet-lab scientists, software engineers, and product teams to improve tools and workflows.
• Support external collaborations by preparing technical analyses, reports, and scientific publications.
• Participate in customer-facing discussions regarding data analysis and platform capabilities.

Requirements

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field (2+ years exp) or MS (5+ years exp).
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
• Experience with somatic variant calling tools such as BWA, GATK, and samtools.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix and workflow management systems (Nextflow, Snakemake, WDL).
• Experience with large datasets in cloud environments (AWS, GCP).
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated environments (CLIA, CAP).
• Knowledge of machine learning approaches applied to genomics.
