What you will do

• Own the end-to-end user data platform charter, covering data movement from APIs to storage and query surfaces.
• Improve ingestion and identity reliability at scale, evolving APIs with clear SLOs and a robust identity model.
• Modernize storage, schemas, and guardrails, including ES8 roadmaps and cost-optimization work.
• Partner with AI/ML teams to define "AI-ready" data and evolve a centralized query layer.
• Collaborate with senior engineering leaders on search/index strategy and cost posture.
• Analyze customer data models to reflect real-world usage in a cleaner, more powerful platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, focused on backend, platform, or data infrastructure products.
• Hands-on experience with user and event data systems, such as ingestion pipelines, identity models, or Elasticsearch.
• Proficiency in APIs and schemas, including reading JSON payloads and managing breaking changes.
• Familiarity with distributed systems (Kafka, Pulsar, Redis, NoSQL) and performance tradeoffs.
• Experience collaborating with AI/ML or data science teams on feature availability and data quality.
• Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in SQL.

Nice to have

• Experience with core user-data or messaging platforms focusing on identity resolution.
• Proven track record of shipping guardrails or cost controls for shared infrastructure.
• Experience with major search or storage modernization, such as ES migrations.
• Background in computer science, data engineering, or a related technical field.
