What you will do

• Design and build AI-powered intrusion detection and alarm systems
• Develop intelligent perimeter monitoring and real-time threat detection
• Work with multimodal data (video, audio, sensor inputs) for robust safety systems
• Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate from concept to deployment
• Explore and integrate large-scale video and audio models for perception and anomaly detection
• Optimize systems for real-time performance in edge and cloud environments
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define product direction and deliver safety solutions

Requirements

• Ability to work on-site at hirify.global HQ in San Mateo, CA during fall 2026 (August 31 - December 18)
• Actively pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or similar, graduating by June 2027
• Experience in AI or Machine Learning from internship or research
• Strong ability to build and iterate quickly in ambiguous problem spaces
• Solid engineering skills focused on production-ready systems
• Self-driven with bias toward action and exploration

Nice to have

• Experience or interest in video, audio, and sensor data
• Familiarity with modern ML approaches, especially multimodal or large models
• Comfort with large video and audio language models
• Ability to balance prototyping with scalable, reliable design
