What you will do

• Assemble and integrate mechanical, fluidic, electronic, optical, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Perform system integration testing, troubleshooting, and deliver manufacturing requirements against production schedules.
• Calibrate and maintain test fixtures, tools, and manufacturing aids.
• Design new test fixtures, test hardware/software during development, and provide feedback to engineers.
• Install, troubleshoot, and service manufacturing test fixtures on and off site.
• Work from procedures, maintain quality data, and promote knowledge transfer across departments.

Requirements

• Must work onsite at Luminex office in Austin, Texas.
• Associate degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or mechanical discipline.
• 6+ years experience in electro-mechanical assembly/test manufacturing.
• High electrical and mechanical aptitude with well-developed problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with electronic, optical, and biological test equipment; ability to read electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics.
• Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office applications; effective communication skills.

Nice to have

• 3+ years experience in soldering.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 and FDA Quality System requirements.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Manufacturing systems such as Oracle or SAP.
