Test Technician I (Medical Devices)

Location: Fort Wayne, IN. Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) due to ITAR export control requirements.

What you will do

• Set up and conduct mechanical tests on various medical device components and assemblies.
• Prepare and build test specimens and assemblies.
• Document and communicate test results to the responsible test engineer.
• Monitor tests to ensure accurate and timely results.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair of lab and support equipment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in an R&D or Quality testing environment.
• Relevant postsecondary certificate, associate’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools.
• Strong computing skills.
• Requirement: U.S. Persons Only (Citizens, Green Card holders, Refugees, or Asylees) for ITAR compliance.

Nice to have

• Experience with servo-hydraulic load frames and hydraulic maintenance.
• Prior experience in the medical device industry.
• Experience using MTS test control software.
• Knowledge of working within an ISO quality management system.
