Test Technician I (Medical Devices)

Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States; onsite. U.S. Persons Only due to access to information controlled under ITAR.

What you will do

• Set up and conduct static strength and dynamic fatigue mechanical tests on medical device components and assemblies.
• Prepare and build test specimens and assemblies.
• Monitor tests to ensure accurate and timely results.
• Document and communicate test results to the responsible test engineer.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on laboratory and support equipment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in an R&D or quality testing environment.
• Relevant postsecondary certificate, associate’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hand tool proficiency.
• Strong computing skills.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

• Servo-hydraulic load frame experience.
• Hydraulic maintenance experience.
• Medical device testing experience.
• Experience with MTS test control software.
• Experience working within an ISO quality management system.
