What you will do

• Act as the technical lynchpin through the entire sales cycle, from pre-sales discovery to post-sales onboarding.
• Conduct qualification of prospect use cases, technical requirements discovery, and lead product demonstrations.
• Design best-fit solutions and collaborate on proofs-of-concept (PoCs) to drive business expansion.
• Advise existing customers on technical best practices and strategic guidance for internet security and performance.
• Develop custom firewall rules from log files and craft performance caching and delivery strategies.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support teams to create scalable customer solutions.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Bash, Lua, or Go.
• Expertise in internet technologies: OSI Model (Layers 1-7), BGP, GRE, TCP/UDP, DNS, HTTP(S), and SSL/TLS.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust Framework and SASE related concepts.
• 12+ years of experience in a customer-facing sales or consulting role.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to translate technical jargon for diverse audiences, from engineers to C-level executives.
• Willingness to travel 20-30% for customer meetings, conferences, and team collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience building or contributing to web applications.
• Deep understanding of L3, L4, and L7 firewalls and Access Control Lists (ACL).
• Proficiency with command-line interfaces, RESTful APIs, and browser web inspectors.
• Knowledge of CSRF, XSS, and SQLi attacks and defense mechanisms.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC-2.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
