What you will do

• Lead the GA Optimization team in delivering automation and process optimization projects across multiple plants.
• Develop and maintain the GA automation/optimization roadmap aligned with throughput targets and plant priorities.
• Manage the project funnel from business case development and prioritization through to execution.
• Oversee the development of concepts, SORs, and automation kickoff packages adhering to safety and quality standards.
• Provide technical leadership through design reviews, simulations, FMEAs, and dynamic validation.
• Build and develop a high-performing engineering team through performance management and succession planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or GA engineering within the automotive sector.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience, including talent development and performance management.
• Proven experience leading automation projects involving robotics, material handling, or vision systems.
• Must be based in the US; no immigration sponsorship provided.
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently (up to 75%) to plants and suppliers.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business.
• Deep knowledge of industrial robotics, PLCs/controls, and error-proofing in high-volume environments.
• Previous experience as a GA Execution Manager or GA Optimization lead.
