Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Web SDK): Building resilient, scalable web and native SDKs embedded into customer applications for identity verification with an accent on image capture quality, accessibility, customization, and reducing user friction. Focus on designing intuitive React/TypeScript frontends, scalable Kotlin/Python backends, public APIs, and data processing pipelines while ensuring privacy, security, and cross-platform support.

Location: Hybrid or remote eligible in United Kingdom - London or Portugal - Lisbon. Must be able to lawfully work within Portugal and have unrestricted work authorization for Portugal.

What you will do

• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver end-to-end experiences for SDKs.
• Design, build, and maintain frontends using TypeScript and React alongside scalable backends for APIs and data pipelines.
• Prototype and iterate solutions meeting performance, reliability, accessibility, and cross-device standards.
• Champion privacy, security, and quality through automated tests and resilient system design.
• Take ownership of projects from ideation to delivery and mentor engineers on best practices.
• Foster collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous improvement via retrospectives and feedback.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of professional software engineering experience with significant frontend and backend exposure.
• Proven expertise in modern frontend frameworks like React and backend technologies like Node.js and REST APIs.
• Ability to design scalable, secure, high-performing fullstack systems.
• Strong knowledge of development best practices including automated testing, code reviews, and agile methodologies.
• Must be able to lawfully work within Portugal with unrestricted work authorization.

Nice to have

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience with accessible interfaces, privacy/security standards, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication skills and mentoring experience.
