Substance Abuse Counselor - Remote

What you will do

• Conduct individual and group alcohol/drug abuse counseling sessions.
• Orient patients to program operations and develop/revise treatment plans.
• Assess social, educational, economic, and vocational information; make referrals and follow-ups.
• Provide crisis intervention, supportive counseling, and coordinate with community providers.
• Participate in in-service training, meetings, and implement new programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and accrediting standards.

Requirements

• Masters or Bachelors in human services-related field with current state counseling credentials (LAC, CAC, PLPC, LPC, LMSW, RSW)
• Knowledge of substance abuse treatment, human behavior, and social services.
• Ability to handle confidential issues, make decisions under stress, and comply with regulations.
• Experience in behavioral health preferred.
