What you will do

• Build, enable, and scale enterprise data governance and stewardship capabilities within a federated governance model.
• Lead onboarding of business and data domains, including stewardship adoption, role enablement, and governance process implementation.
• Implement metadata management, business glossary curation, data catalog, data marketplace, and stewardship workflows.
• Partner with business, technology, security, privacy, legal, compliance, platform, and data teams to establish trusted and compliant data assets.
• Use automation and AI-enabled capabilities to improve stewardship efficiency and governance effectiveness.
• Define and report governance KPIs, risks, initiative progress, and stewardship outcomes while leading managed service providers and junior governance resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience in data governance, data stewardship, enterprise data management, or a related discipline.
• Experience serving as a data governance SME in a federated, matrixed, or enterprise-scale operating model.
• Experience leading cross-functional governance initiatives and influencing adoption without formal authority.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise governance platforms such as Informatica, Atlan, Alation, or similar solutions.
• Experience with data classification, metadata management, data quality, regulatory-aligned governance, and training data stewards and owners.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating governance resources and managed service providers.

Nice to have

• Experience with Collibra, Databricks, Snowflake, or Data-as-a-Product operating models.
• Experience in GxP, clinical, R&D, or pharmaceutical environments.
• Experience defining governance KPIs for senior leadership and facilitating workshops or working groups.
• CDMP, DGSP, DCAM, DAMA, or equivalent certification.
