Advanced Analytics Analyst (Collections & Payments): Drive advanced analytics and decision intelligence to optimise Collections & Payments strategy with an accent on propensity to pay, credit risk, churn, recoveries, and customer journey effectiveness. Focus on developing predictive models, designing experiments like A/B tests, creating dashboards, and translating insights into strategies for senior stakeholders.
Location: Newbury or London + Hybrid (2-3 days in office per week, at least 8 days per month)

What you will do
- Develop advanced analytics solutions for propensity to pay, credit risk, churn, recoveries, cost to collect, and customer journey effectiveness.
- Conduct profiling, segmentation, and exploratory analysis to design modelling approaches.
- Create documentation, monitoring packs, dashboards, and MI for performance tracking and decision-making.
- Design and run A/B tests and champion-challenger trials to validate models and optimise strategies.
- Translate analytical outputs into actionable insights influencing Collections & Payments strategy.
- Build insight decks for senior stakeholders and collaborate across Strategy, Operations, Product, Data, and Governance teams.
Requirements
- Strong experience in statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and advanced analytics.
- Proficiency in SAS, SQL or similar tools for large complex datasets.
- Experience with governance, monitoring frameworks, and regulatory-aligned processes.
- Skills in turning quantitative findings into compelling stories for strategy influence.
- Understanding of credit risk, arrears, collections, payments journeys, or financial services analytics.
- Comfort in fast-paced, data-driven environments focused on improvement and innovation.
