Senior Director, Intelligence (AI)

Location: Bay Area, CA; candidates should be within a reasonable distance of the location and open to participating in in-person collaboration moments. Travel: up to 25%. Legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Expected annual salary for candidates in the San Francisco/Bay Area metropolitan area: $233,700–$333,900, plus eligibility for annual bonus compensation.

What you will do

• Lead the Intelligence function covering analytics, business intelligence, and insight generation across the organization.
• Develop and maintain enterprise analytics platforms, intelligence tools, reporting frameworks, dashboards, and standardized performance metrics.
• Deliver actionable insights and data-driven recommendations for strategic, product, engineering, and operational decisions.
• Partner with Product, AI, Engineering, and business stakeholders to support product innovation and platform development.
• Build and manage teams responsible for analytics engineering, business intelligence, and insight delivery.
• Establish governance and standards for analytics quality, metric definitions, reporting consistency, and data-driven decision making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree and/or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area.
• 10+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data analytics, or related data-focused roles.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing analytics, intelligence, or business intelligence teams.
• Experience developing enterprise analytics frameworks, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
• Experience working closely with product, engineering, or technology teams in data-driven organizations.
• Demonstrated experience translating complex data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of modern analytics platforms and business intelligence tools, including metrics development, performance measurement, dashboard design, and analytics architecture.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, data storytelling, communication, strategic thinking, operational leadership, and execution discipline.
• Ability to bridge analytics, data science, and business intelligence disciplines; lead and develop high-performing analytics teams; engage stakeholders cross-functionally; and maintain data quality, governance, and analytical integrity.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience working in SaaS, cloud software, or enterprise technology organizations.
• Familiarity with machine learning or AI-enabled analytics environments.
• Experience supporting product analytics or technology platform decision making.
