Software Architect (Connectivity)

Software Architect (Connectivity): Defining end-to-end software architecture for customer-specific telematic units and connectivity products with an accent on embedded systems, interfaces, and cybersecurity integration. Focus on decomposing architectural constraints, ensuring traceability to system requirements, and acting as primary technical interface to customers while supporting ASPICE processes and reusable assets.

Location: Hybrid model with remote and onsite office work required in Ulm, Baden-Württemberg, Germany or one of major software development sites; willingness to travel 20% of time

What you will do

• Define software design strategy and architecture for projects or domains, decomposing constraints to lower levels.
• Develop and verify interfaces, dynamic behaviors, and interactions between software elements.
• Analyze customer requirements from RFQ/RFI, map to architecture, and address non-functional needs.
• Ensure traceability to system architecture and requirements, recommend standards for security and compliance.
• Serve as customer technical interface and contribute to cybersecurity efforts including TARA and risk treatment.

Requirements

• Hybrid office work in Germany (Ulm or major sites) with 20% travel
• Master's or Bachelor's in electrical/computer engineering or similar.
• Expert in software architecture, embedded software, C++, Linux kernel/user space.
• Experience with UML/SysML, Automotive SPICE (SWE.2), requirements analysis.
• Proven technical leadership, strong English communication, decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• Infotainment systems, ISO 26262, ISO 21434, TARA, cryptography, secure coding, AUTOSAR.
