Senior Platform Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Senior Platform Engineer (Java/Kotlin): Building and evolving a core CQRS Event Sourcing Framework to provide a robust foundation for product teams with an accent on developer experience, performance, and scalability. What you will do

• Evolve the internal CQRS Event Sourcing Framework, focusing on ease of use, startup time, and memory usage.
• Drive the adoption and rollout of AI-assisted coding tools and standardized practices across the engineering organization.
• Own, maintain, and support several Java production applications, including framework runtime services.
• Collaborate with the core DevOps team to ensure smooth and secure infrastructure alignment.
• Implement and advocate for application-level security best practices.
• Provide proactive technical support and guidance on framework-related queries for other engineering team members.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of Java/Kotlin on the JVM and the Spring Framework/Spring Boot ecosystem.
• Deep experience with CQRS and Event Sourcing architectures.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and transactional Kafka.
• Experience setting up AI tooling to increase engineering productivity.
• DevOps mindset with involvement in all stages of the systems development life-cycle.
• Must be based in or able to work hybridly in Amsterdam.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong knowledge of application code-level security best practices.
• Passion for knowledge sharing and advocating for technical best practices.
