What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers with regular feedback, coaching, and career development.
• Contribute hands-on as a senior engineer: architect systems, write and review code, ensure quality and reliability.
• Own technical direction and architecture for AWS services and features, driving design decisions and best practices.
• Partner with product, design, and stakeholders to define roadmaps and deliver high-impact solutions.
• Oversee design, development, testing, and operation of scalable, secure cloud-native systems.
• Establish standards for code quality, testing, observability, documentation, CI/CD, and incident management.

Requirements

• 5+ years software development on AWS production systems, 2+ years tech lead/engineering management
• Strong proficiency in Python, object-oriented design, clean code, and design patterns
• Expertise in AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, etc.), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK)
• Experience with RESTful APIs, authentication (OAuth2, JWT), microservices, event-driven architectures
• DevOps practices: CI/CD (GitHub Actions), Docker, observability, testing strategies
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, strong leadership and communication skills
