Accountant (Ecommerce)

TL;DR

Accountant (Ecommerce): Maintain accurate financial records and handle reconciliations for marketplace/PSP platforms with an accent on accounts receivable/payable, inventory, and tax compliance across entities. Focus on ensuring VAT/CIT/payroll reporting, collaborating with auditors/tax advisors, and refining accounting policies/procedures.

Location: Hybrid in Kaunas, Lithuania (one work-from-home day per week + 20 extra remote days from anywhere)

Salary: From €2000/month (gross), depending on experience

What you will do

• Maintain accurate financial transaction records per local and industry standards.
• Handle marketplace/PSP reconciliations between platforms, partners, and banks.
• Oversee accounts receivable/payable and inventory accounting for multiple entities.
• Ensure compliant tax accounting and reporting (VAT, CIT, payroll, cross-border).
• Collaborate on tasks, deadlines, and documentation for auditors/external advisors.
• Monitor and recommend improvements to accounting policies/procedures; assist with company setups.

Requirements

• Higher degree in accounting or equivalent.
• At least 2 years in accounting/audit, preferably international/e-commerce.
• Good English skills (written/spoken).
• Proactive mindset, attention to detail, eagerness to learn.
• Knowledge of Lithuanian accounting standards/laws/taxes; international standards a plus.
• Excellent MS Excel skills.
