What you will do

• Define and decompose system requirements based on customer needs, standards, and protocols
• Lead technical discussions with customers and teams to align requirements and propose solutions
• Design system architecture and create documentation (state diagrams, communication sequences)
• Act as primary technical interface for requirement discussions and change management
• Support internal and external vehicle testing activities
• Collaborate with project managers and global engineering teams (software, hardware, validation) for timely delivery

Requirements

• Proficiency in Japanese (spoken and written) for customer communication
• Business-level English for global team collaboration
• Proven experience in software design and development for commercial products
• Strong project management skills in software development
• Willing to travel up to 30%, domestic only or domestic and international

Nice to have

• Knowledge of telematics systems and wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, 4G/LTE/5G, Bluetooth)
• Experience with in-vehicle networks (CAN, Ethernet)
• Background in embedded systems design
• Familiarity with JIRA
