TL;DR

Lead Architect (Projects) (Automotive): Define and lead system-level software architecture for integrated cockpit products from inception to production with an accent on leveraging hirify.global assets and bespoke solutions. Focus on evaluating alternatives, reviewing subsystem designs, assessing overall system architecture, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and business wins.

Location: Ariake - Tokyo, Japan (office-based). Willing for domestic and international travel up to 10% of the time.

What you will do

• Understand customer requirements and propose optimal software architecture using hirify.global portfolio or bespoke approaches.
• Define, document, and approve software architecture and designs from domain architects and SMEs.
• Evaluate architectural alternatives, present pros/cons and rationale to stakeholders.
• Review system architecture from software perspective, identify improvements, and address defects.
• Collaborate with requirements, development, testing, and program management teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Minimum 20 years in software development, including 5+ years in automotive embedded software with C/C++, Java, embedded Android, RTOS/QNX/Linux/AUTOSAR.
• Understanding of UML/SysML, protocols (CAN/LIN/Ethernet/TCP/IP/UDP/RTP), SW life cycles, embedded systems including hardware.
• Strong communication, reasoning, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to evolving technologies.
• Willing to work in office and travel up to 10%.
