What you will do

• Provide practical and clear legal advice on regulatory issues including liquor, gaming, tobacco, food, and AML/CTF.
• Represent the organization in enforcement actions and develop effective resolution strategies.
• Offer legal guidance on the development, marketing, and control of regulated products.
• Manage legal cases related to customer disputes or high-risk issues ensuring timely resolution.
• Collaborate with financial crime, gaming compliance, and operations teams to ensure cohesive compliance strategies.

Requirements

• Law degree and admission to practice as a solicitor.
• 2-5 years of post-admission experience.
• Experience advising clients in a regulated industry or working directly with regulators.
• Ability to work in the Bulimba office on a hybrid basis.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience in the hospitality, food and beverage, or gambling sectors.
• Expertise in handling customer-facing complaints, disputes, or high-risk interactions.
• Previous experience in complex regulatory case management.
