TL;DR

Health IT Specialist (EHR): Identifying and resolving gaps within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to improve patient care and end-user experience with an accent on clinical informatics and workflow optimization. Focus on conducting needs assessments, designing comprehensive implementation plans, and optimizing system functionality for Inpatient, Outpatient, and Emergency Departments.

Location: Remote (Must be based in the United States and work East Coast hours)

Salary: $158,000 – $205,000 USD

What you will do

  • Identify gaps and barriers within EHR systems for priority health systems and IDNs.
  • Provide problem-solving and resolution strategies for identified EHR functionality gaps.
  • Collaborate with clinicians, IT, and informatics teams to ensure patient safety.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive, customer-specific plans to address system needs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Health IT for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Optimize EHR systems across Inpatient, Outpatient, and Emergency Departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in design, build, or testing of EHR software.
  • Experience with Epic, Oracle Health, or eClinicalWorks.
  • Must be based in the United States.
  • Ability to travel overnight consistently.
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.

Nice to have

  • Pharm. D or Master's degree.
  • Experience in Clinical IT, Pharmacy IT, or Clinical Informatics.
